I tried the #Delibuildcrest build challenges!

Updated: Jun 9, 2022

EA House Renovation Challenge

Rules: Preserve the look and feel of the original EA-created build (shown on the second image in the gallery) and revamp the house. You can remove doors and windows, and you can even re-work the floor plan.

Below the Roof Challenge

Rules: You were given roof pieces and had to build sections of a home beneath the roofs and then combine them all together without elongating or shortening/manipulating the roof pieces.

Build between the Lines Challenge

Rules: You were given lines to build in between (see image 2). No deleting any of them, but you could change the type of flooring.

Connect the dots Challenge

Rules: You were given a lot with a lot of single-spaced walls on both the bottom floor and the second floor and had to create a building by connecting them in some way. You couldn't delete any of them.

Favorite Items Challenge

Rules: You just have to fill up the house with your favorite items while preserving the structure. :)

Modular Build Challenge

Rules: You were given various modular rooms to arrange however you want. You could intersect them too.

Terrain Build Challenge

Rules: You were given a lot with various changes in terrain levels throughout it and had to create a build without changing the terrain levels.

Treehouse Build Challenge

Rules: You were given a structure with several trees coming through it and had to make a build with it.

No Mistakes Challenge...you might be able to pick out the uh-oh moments..lol

Rules: You were given a lot where you can build anything you want! But you can't click undo or change the color of items that have already been laid down. For this build, I actually created a duplex log cabin-esque summer home. I imagine that two families would go there on vacation in the summers, maybe families that are close friends.

Underground House Challenge

Rules: You had to create an underground house from what was given (image 2). For this build, I actually created a house for a young (relatively, for a vampire) loner vampire sim. Maybe she tries to have human friends but they always get scared away when she shows them her plasma bags she has stashed in her closet (the red tubs on the high shelves). Also the zillion bottles on her bathroom counter -- those are sunscreen. I figured a vampire might need a lot of that hehe.

Fountain Challenge

Rules: You were given what's on image 2 (a series of fountains) to build around/use. You couldn't delete them and had to incorporate them in your build.

Use the Items challenge

Rules: Some items were laid down on a lot and you had to include them in your build without moving them, rotating them, deleting them, or changing the swatch. When I finished creating the shell I realized the ridiculous amount of balcony space really lent itself to making it into a frat house! Also, sidenote: the last picture is of a workbench inside a shed.

Diagonal Challenge

Rules: Simmers were given a diagonal box to start their diagonal build. This one seems pretty easy from looking at it, but it was actually kinda hard because the counters don't align right on a diagonal, and just various items don't work right, or don't work at all (stairs! Sad face.) Anyways, I picture someone like Gru from Despicable Me living here, maybe with just one daughter (I really wanted to go all out and make the ultimate pretty princess pink girl's room so there was really only room for one child. So while I was building this, I kinda imagined the dad to be a lot like Gru in that he wanted to seem intimidating to everyone so the front of his house is a little more gothic (even though he is hiding his bicycle in the front yard, behind a tree of course :P). But in the backyard, its super fun and family-friendly. Kinda like a mullet house. Party in the back!

Open Plan Challenge

Rules: You were given 2 bathrooms and just had to incorporate them and create an open plan build. I actually kinda made mine less of an open plan...oh well :P

Shell Challenge

Rules: We were given the 'shell' of a building and just had to make it our own without adding any exterior walls.
